RNSG 1128 - Introduction to Health Care Concepts

An introduction to concept-based learning with emphasis on selected pathophysiological concepts with nursing applications. Concepts include acid-base balance, fluid and electrolytes, immunity, gas exchange, perfusion, metabolism, coping and tissue integrity. This course lends itself to a concept-based approach.

TSI: TSI Complete Reading & Writing or TSIA2 Complete ELA Required for Enrollment
Prerequisite: BIOL 2401 , BIOL 2402 , BIOL 2420 ; Acceptance into the ADN program.
Corequisite: ADN Traditional Program: RNSG 1216 , RNSG 1430 , RNSG 1125  and RNSG 1161 ; ADN Transition Program: RNSG 1162  or RNSG 1163 , RNSG 1324  and RNSG 1118
