A study of the basic principles in emergency management preparedness planning, disaster mitigation, and recovery. With an emphasis on planning and coordination across all first responder disciplines, this course focuses on an all-hazards planning methodology including the processes and considerations for the development of a comprehensive community risk-reduction plan. This course uses technology in the collection of data to perform statistical analysis including hazard probability modeling, decision analysis, resource allocation, and cost-benefit analysis.
