An Occupational Skills Award (OSA) is the most basic sequence of courses that will prepare students for employment. Students are not able to declare an OSA as a major, or pursue one as an end goal. However, almost all OSAs are built into other certificates and/or majors, and they will be automatically awarded to students as they complete coursework in those certificates and/or majors.

The Engineering Design Technology, OSA provides students the opportunity to study and learn basic drafting and technical drawing, as well as software applications used in the production of drawings for applications such as mechanical, architectural, machine, and/or process piping design.

Once completed, this curriculum will allow students to move forward in their Drafting career pursuits.

Marketable skills for this award include: computer skills and problem solving.
