With the many professional fields available to artists, you should begin your career as an artist at TJC. Let us help you discover your creative voice and hone your skills towards creating inspiring, expressive, personal fine art in our 10,000-square-foot art facilities, all while being in close proximity to the Tyler Museum of Art.

Our Associate of Arts degree provides the first two years of a liberal arts education and prepares you with the sound artistic foundation required to successfully pursue an art degree at an upper-level institution.

Marketable skills for this award include: creativity, critical thinking, entrepreneurial skills/risk taker, flexibility/adaptability, organizational skills and problem solving.
