HART 2476 - Introduction to Ammonia Refrigeration

Introduces ammonia refrigeration. A review of the mechanical refrigeration cycle, heat transfer theory, temperature/pressure relationship, refrigerant handling, refrigeration components, materials, and safety as applied to ammonia refrigeration. Is an intermediate level course designed for people possessing minimum level skills, knowledge, and competencies for any person entering training as an ammonia refrigeration operator.
Prerequisite: HART 1401 and HART 1407
Corequisite: OSHT 1401
