With the increased demand for Information Technology (IT) specialists, this program will help prepare students to enter the exciting field of IT.

The Personal Computer Support, Occupational Skills Award (OSA) prepares students for IT fields primarily as they relate to the CompTIA A+ certification exam. The CompTIA A+ 220-1201/1202 certification will cover essential skills in hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting, with an increased focus on security, networking, and software troubleshooting, preparing individuals for a wide range of IT roles. This OSA specifically prepares students for IT positions, such as IT support specialist, help desk technician, desktop support specialist, and other entry-level IT positions.

Once completed, this curriculum will allow students to move forward in their IT career pursuits.

Marketable skills for this award include: customer service, problem solving, teamwork, and technical skills.
