Welding Technology: Basic Welder, OSA

An Occupational Skills Award (OSA) is the most basic sequence of courses that will prepare students for employment. Students are not able to declare an OSA as a major, or pursue one as an end goal. The Welding Technology: Basic Welder, OSA is built into the first semester of the first certificate, the Welding Technology: Entry Level Option, CERT. Both this certificate and the OSA are incorporated into the Welding Technology, Associate of Applied Science Degree. The OSA will be automatically awarded to students as they complete coursework in the certificate and degree.

Marketable skills for this award include: reading prints/welding symbols and technical skills.
