The Applied Graphic Design and Digital Media: Digital Media and Communications, Occupational Skills Award (OSA) is designed for students wanting to complete nine Student Credit Hours of digital media topics. This award provides a basic overview of the field and training in the basic to intermediate digital/multimedia skills used in the Digital Media and Communications industry.
Students will: learn the essential methods for the creation and production for print and digital media; explore a range of multimedia, visual communications, and software applications; and work independently, as well as in collaborative groups, in the design and implementation of media presentations and applications.
To enhance skills and career options, students are advised to pursue an additional certificate and/or an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Applied Graphic Design and Digital Media, and the courses in this OSA apply towards both the Applied Graphic Design and Digital Media: Graphic Design, Certificate and the Applied Graphic Design and Digital Media, AAS.
