Singing advanced tonal music and introduction of modal and post-tonal melodies. Aural study including dictation of advanced rhythm, melody, and harmony. NOTE: The maximum SCH combination of Theory and Sight Singing and Ear Training is 4 SCH. An institution offering Theory III at 3 SCH must offer Sight Singing and Ear Training at 1 SCH for a total of 4 SCH for the combination. Likewise, an institution may select Theory III at 2 SCH and may select Sight Singing and Ear Training III at 2 SCH for a maximum of 4 SCH for the combination.
Prerequisite: MUSI 2116 with a grade of “C” or better
