Students who earn a Certificate of Proficiency may enroll in additional courses to complete an Associate of Applied Science in Certified Dental Assisting. Pursing an associate’s degree demonstrates a commitment to professional growth and a desire to provide the best possible care to patients. It sets dental assistants apart from those who only have a certificate or diploma, which may be important when applying for job openings or seeking advancement within an existing dental office. Obtaining an associate’s degree in dental assisting may provide a range of benefits for dental assistants who want to advance in their careers and take on greater responsibilities in the field.
Enrollment in this program is limited, and those applying for admission must make application using the online submission process. See the Selective Admissions requirements in the Admission section of this Catalog.
