The Business Managment: Entrepreneurship Basics, Occupational Skills Award (OSA) provides the immediate knowledge to aid a small business owner in general business strategies for marketing and tracking required financial information for business reporting. The OSA is designed to feed into the Business Management: Small Business Entrepreneurship, Certificate, where completers will learn how to design detailed business plans, enhancing their knowledge of strategies for using ecommerce and social media to support their marketing needs, and gain knowledge in financial management decision-making situations.

An Occupational Skills Award (OSA) is the most basic sequence of courses that will prepare students for employment. Students are not able to declare an OSA as a major, or pursue one as an end goal. However, almost all OSAs are built into other certificates and/or majors, and they will be automatically awarded to students as they complete coursework in those certificates and/or majors.
